The Case of the Missing Midwood

There are two Midwood books numbered 29.

It is generally assumed that Of Shame and Joy was supposed to be numbered 27, as there was no book issued with that designation, and it was printed before Another Night, Another Love.

To add to the interest, both books are by famous pseudonyms. Sheldon Lord is really Lawrence Block.  Loren Beauchamp is really Robert Silverberg.
